Liar, Liar

I lied. Due to a day trip to NYC, a meetup with an old friend (unrelated, and later) and a pressing need to finally sign up for Facebook, there's no way I'm posting anything of substance today. Sorry.

Also, I don't have any photos of my Homeless. It was a 1" Mack, with the "H" cutout in the cap on the back of the toptube. Tan. With an S&M Menstrual fork/stem combo, Profiles, and silver HP-48s. I think I rode it once, then parted it out. The frame went to Tom at Empire, the wheels and the cranks got sold, and I still have the bars/stem/forks. The stem is amazing—it's a Race/Challenger with "MENSTRUAL" engraved in the top cap instead. If it was 1 1/8", I'd have it on my bike right now. Instead it's...well, somewhere.

Anyway, I'll post something more real tomorrow, promise.

Is that movie like the "Rad" of the fixed-gear world? No wonder they're all really gay.

Russ, Because you have been slacking with your blog the same as I've been slacking at work, I salute you.

Visit fatbmx.com for a 30min interview with Bill Allen a.k.a Cru Jones to learn he never cared about BMX prior to filming RAD. An icon in BMX ... that never actually rode BMX.

Fuck Hollywood! Yeah. thats why I hate my job. I work in the entertainment industry. ugh. I still want to meet Cru Jones.

RAD is a terrible movie. TERRIBLE.

E.T. is the movie that got me siked on bikes. I still want to ride over a cop car.

rad is fricken sweet, and quicksilver is fricken sweeter!

can i buy that challenger? haha. you're really running out of stuff to tear apart in the bmx industry, aren't you? sometimes, experimentation isn't a bad thing. rip on eastern all you want, but they're trying new things for once. it's not 1999 anymore man, things do change, and that includes bmx.

how many russ' does it take to screw in a lightbulb? none, he hopes it never changes

i'm not running out of stuff, I've just been lazy. The new STA has been in the on-deck circle for days.

Wanting to meet Cru Jones because of the movie "RAD" = wanting to meet Christian Slater because of the movie "Gleaming the Cube."

I had those forks. Moeller even custom-made them with cantilever studs and I ran inverted V-brakes on the front through the stem. Still the best company name.

Josh, I was referring the the real "Cru Jones" not the actor that played him. geez. and who would want to meet Christian Slater anyway?

My co-worker saw Kevin Bacon on the train a few days ago. Then he came back to work and got laid off.
