E-Mail of the Year

Maybe I should just turn the whole blog over to this guy:

"Hey since you are somewhat of an important member of the industry, I thought i would let you be one of the first to know about my new company, Popcycle BMX.

Our first product will be this innovative new frame. It has pretty standard geometry, so i want bore you with any of that. What is important is what you cant see in the picture. It is actually a lugged frame similar to what you would see in high end steel road bikes. what this allows us to do is bond the tubing together with our proprietary "cold weld", fiber reinfarced, epoxy. Not only does this allow for weight savings, but it also creates a frame that has fully customizable geometry. With a torch, the rider will be ably to heat the epoxy to soften i and loosen the hold. Toptube length, headtube angle, seat tube angle, and chainstay length will be fully adjustable using this technique. AS an added bonus, each frame comes with extra epoxy, so that in the rare event of breakage, the rider will be able to do the necessary repairs in minutes with out even needing a welder!

The attached file is an image of our frame.

Although this frame is highly advanced, our target price is around 250 to 300 dollars, which is a great deal in the current market.

Keep an eye out for our seats, streetwear, and eventually a series of web edits!

Let me know if you have any questions.

Popcycle BMX"

Best idea I've ever heard. My wallet—and my torch—are ready.

I'm all over this! Great idea!!

Although this should be their list of priorities:

1) frame (hell yeah! even better than a bolt-together frame imo)

2) "pro" riders w/ a signature frame each (really just different stickers though. same frame for everyone)

3) web edits

4) soft goods

5) and then bring the chaos w/ the crazy seat designs.

Damn it! I wish I though of this.

You can customize it eh?

What about a frame jig to keep it in place while customizing?

Also, it says "hoax" in the tags..

They could have definitely done better with the photo. Not that concept is even possible, but it would have been funnier.

*waits for e-mail about PVC pipe frames*

Just wait until I post the e-mails I got from the Hitman guy.

Lugged and bonded, yes. Vitus, among others, I think. Lugged and bonded for infinite angle/size adjustments via torch, no.
