"You seem to have not noticed..It's true that I did not notice this, perhaps because I don't run 48s or a 9t driver. But it's a somewhat reasonable point (remember when G-Sport was totally against 36-hole rear wheels?) despite the fact that it adds even more options to an already crowded market (and one would presume that the 48/LHD/9t segment is a fairly small one). That said, 48-hole, LHD cassettes are a more legit option than yet another recovered Velo. I'm just saying.
There are VERY few BMX hubs in 48h anymore..
On top of that, if they do, they either suck, or don't come in LHD, or 9t..
Now, all three are pretty wide areas of the market I would think.. yet nobody is making this shit anymore?
Damn all these companies that are using strong ass bushing, or Q-Lite systems to allow larger driver bearings, because it still doesn't mean shit to me untill I can get A. 48h (SERIOUSLY, NO 48H?!) 9t (A must so I can run my RNC fullguard sprocket..) and LHD would be a fucking nice touch too..
Christ, I can't believe with companies coming out with two hubs a month they can't drill some extra holes in the flanges, reverse thread the ratchet rings and screw em in so the damn driver goes on the left side, and order 9t drivers..."
I skimmed through the product offerings of Wal*Mart BMX, and found just three cassette hubs that are offered in LHD and 48: the Demolition Anorexia, the Odyssey V3 and the Shadow Rant V2. Two of those, the Anorexia and the Rant, have a 9t option. And one could question whether the Anorexia and the Rant will even remain in production, seeing that both companies offer a more recent model (although the new Shadow cassette will still be available in 48/LHD/9t).
That said, I see where our e-mailer is coming from. Profile no longer offers a 48-hole cassette hub, nor does Primo. And whilst the majority of BMXers are indeed skinny waifs in Krews, there are still those who either are big or just ride that way who could use the 12 extra spokes.
Oh well. Best appreciate the options you DO have before those go away, too.

There is an arguement that if you need a 48, then it is LIKELY that the bearings in most 9 tooth drivers arent going to be up to your riding style.
Having said that, the Ratchet hub which launches later this year WILL be available with a super tough 9 tooth driver AND in 48 AND is Left/Right switchable.
When I did only 48s, there was an argument that if you NEED a 48 then you need a 48, wheras if you WANT a 36, you can still live with a 48, in the same way that you can saw off brakemounts, but you cant saw them on.... So the two options are not equally important...
i hope gsport george dies when the rest of bmx does. i liked it over here in MURICA! a lot more before his circus side show ass showed up.
and your hub obviously sucks since you cant ever release it. id rather ride a primo sob hub than g-sport.
anonymous is hating
WRONG!!!11!!eleven!!
Profile still offers high flange 48 hole hubs, right or left hand drive, 8-18 tooth drivers or cogs available.
We just don't advertise them, since we sell about 3 per month. We have polished and black in stock.
We even have some thread on freewheel hubs lying around if you really want to get your mid-school on.
The Profile 9 tooth driver uses the same long-lasting bearings as the rest of our drivers. Our 8 tooth driver uses a bushing under the cog and bearings on the backside.
There are 48h/9t Geishas, too. If you don't use it like a coaster, it probably won't fail like one. Depends on setup and pedaling habits. But any tiny driver's bearings are doomed.
The cure for all drivetrain macho deficiencies is 44/16.
hell yeah, the sport needs more options!
anonymous is stupid.
How long it is taking G to produce the hub shows only how much effort he is putting into it to make sure when it comes out it will be the best possible hub he can design.
Keith Terra - BASE NHSH. Needs to come out on DVD.
christian: Good to know. Thank you. Hopefully the sender of the original e-mail reads that. Or I suppose I could respond to him directly. How quaint! Like...like...a freewheel hub!
G-sport, please stay out of bmx. Thanks.
The anonymous guy dissing G is lame. But we all already knew that.
I'd love to hear some legitimate arguments against G-Sport rather than abstract cusses. As far as I can see George has pretty consistently produced innovative, high quality products for the last decade. Come on, Anonymous. Fix up and tell us what the beef is!
the beef is whats for dinner. i only ride parts designed by ex-circus performers too, dont worry.
I have a boner for some ribcages right now.
Will I get them?
Maybe.
I've ran 36 for a long time. I just like it better. Despite being 190 pounds, I am not too hard on wheels. But you can not deny the look of some 48 hole HP Superpro's...
streetmafiabmx.com has the primo pro cassettes with ti axles ($199)and chromo also ($119)in 48 holes. mabey profile freecoaster shells in 48 still , not sure, they could be used lhd if you had lhd nankai guts from flatlandfuel.com 48holes for life
G Sport is..
Extremely condesending.
Extremely ignorant.
Extremely vain.
Extremely conceited.
And his parts are extremely impractical. Ever try to install wombolts?
INSTALLATION ERRORRR!!!11omg!
G, you're a joke.
Just like many others, I like having as many options as possible, but I have to know when to fight my battles. The writer of the original email seemed genuinely upset that there is a lack of 48h left side drive 9t hubs on the market. You should be grateful for the fact that there is even one, let alone 5 to choose from mentioned so far. It's o.k. to want the ideal, but to write an irate email about it seems a little strong...just saying.
I wouldn't call 6802's long lasting christian.
i don't have any problem with people that choose to be anonymous here but if you wanna talk shit about someone even fronm your chair, behind a pc screen and a keyboard at least have the balls to give even a fake name
hey orange proper lhd 48holes avail at streetmafiabmx.com $99 not sure driver size ... 48hole federal freecoaster not sure $ or if left hand drive is avail there and George does sound like he is the only god of bmx...
I weigh over 200 pounds and that makes 36 spoke wheels suck for me. Especially since I like 360's.
And George, I got your GLAND Mark III hub guard and it rocks.
Anonymous = teh gayzzz lolololollolol
this isnt related to this post at all but i just realized the really gay Corey Jarman frame looks like Mankinds flatland frame. Haha.
wombolts-how many have i seen snapped in 2!
wombolt stem-ugly as fuck, good fad while it lasted.
plastic pegs-biggest flop of the decade !
hub guard held on with cable ties-what!!
all spring to mind!
i would have to agree that the plegs were the shittiest bike part i have purchased for my bicycle this decade. they were hyped up so much by g himself even, and yet they still failed/snapped/grinded shitt
and i have seen a few marmoset hubs that have play on the axel because you cant adjust it. you think a bmx god would be able to foresee this problem and fix it before it happened. guess not though.
I bought plegs, i love them for park riding. Never had a problem. Great product!
i got the original Gland guard, kept braking zip ties, but i bet the new Gland is better.
i knew 6 people that run Wombolt cranks, they never had any problems with them. Pretty solid products as far a i can tell. I'll get the ribcages when they come in 7005 aluminum. keep up the good work George.
The current Ribcage material is a better grade material than 7005.
