Rip and Tear

Wow. Yuck.

OdysseyBMX.comDaily WordDirect Link (Larger)

I understand that it's a fashion choice rather than a technological one, and that it doesn't affect performance one iota, but I hated it when Nike was doing it with their shoes and it's no better now that Odyssey's doing it with their seats. Heck, this might be worse than the Rogue Status collabo. Keep streetwear out of BMX! (Or is it seatwear?) At least it's a limited release.

Hey wait. Why not use Japanese selvedge denim?

someone had a lot of leftover gross arron ross seats and had to think of a way of selling them Im guessing?

I think it's cool in a design idea kind of way that never sees production.

But really, what is a seat but a fashion statement these days?

what is every bike part but a fasion statement? matching wheels, bars frame fork brands. color co-ordinating barends and seat clamps. in all of us is a slob, some people dress like it and are clean people, some people dress nice but live like slobs. we want our bikes to be nice/kooky/unstealable/trashy, whatever, but all that maters is our wheel size. and that no one wears spandex.

Aaron Ross Signature. He likes it, it matches his bike. I know, I know it should always be Black...My apologies.

James: This is the original and only Aaron seat, so I don't know what would be "leftover" the one he has had on his bike has been this one.

One could say its a wear-away, instead of tear-away so as your seat wears is gets "better" instead of worse. Of course if you don't like whats under the demin it still gets worse. Gets different? Get off my dick. smiley face.

I should have done a best-dressed, worst-dressed today in honor of Mr. Blackwell (R.I.P.). Sean Burns would have probably topped both lists.

I may not like it but it's at least taking a chance to do something different. BTW, I thought Puma were the ones that did the tear-away shoes? Who cares, where's my Aitken nightwolf pivotal?

I've been noticing your tags. Dig the recent homages to BIG and HOP.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, boring blog as usual.. this site is more superfluous than the products talked about. I'll keep buying Odyssey products for my shop and stop looking for much to read here.

I'll keep reading this and fearing Wombolts.

I'd rather run that seat than half of the hundred or so identical pivotal seats out there. At least its different.

That remind me of my old primo hemoroïd with a piece of my jeans staple on it... almost 10 years ago .everybody customize their hemoroïd at this time (sound weird)

I don't really get why this is a big deal either way. It's a denim covered seat that rips. Just like every other seat's cover.

I'm glad Bauer clarified the "tear away/wear away" thing. I kept thinking of Party Boy and the tear away sweats...and guessing that maybe you'd rip the denim off to find different material underneath...maybe tighty whities.

I don't to tell too much but we may have "Superman", "Incredible Hulk", "party boy" and "Hulkamania" coming soon....

a hulkamania seat would be the best thing ever
